![]() ![]() To use a USB Audio Class 2.0 device under Windows requires a driver. Windows, however, only provides support for USB Audio Class 1.0. After the device-specific driver is installed, Windows 10 will select that driver instead of the standard USB audio 2.0 driver when you first connect the device. Apple OSX version 10.6.4 and above natively supports USB Audio Class 2.0 no driver install is required. If the device is not yet connected, first install the device-specific driver, such as by using the appropriate installer. For more information about how to do this, see update drivers in Windows 10. Unfortunately said driver recognizes the Line Out as Speakers (which is totally fine for me) BUT it recognizes the Line In as Microphone Input. It is designed to support the USB Audio 2.0 device class. Starting with Windows 10, release 1703, a USB Audio 2.0 driver is shipped with Windows. On the Mac navigate to Applications > Utilities > Audio MIDI. I use a USB Audio 2.0 Interface with a Line Out and Line In. The USB audio driver performs the role of a translator and enables the audio device and the OS to function coherently. Select the CA CXN Audio Class 1 / 2 as the output sound device. Within the System Preferences of the Mac, locate the Sound settings. ![]() This article helps to fix an issue in which Windows 10 doesn't install specific drivers for USB audio devices on the first connection.Īpplies to: Windows 10, version 1703 Original KB number: 4021854 Symptom If using the StreamMagic app, go to the Home tab, locate the CXN (V2) Settings > USB Audio Class > Then toggle between USB Audio Class 1.0 or 2.0. ![]()
